Brupaks range of `mashkits’ has been designed to appeal to both the beginner to mashing and the experienced brewer alike. The kits range from straightforward Bitters and Stouts to the more challenging Weissbiers and Pilsners, which involve multi-temperature mashing and controlled fermentation.
Each kit contains authentic ingredients of the highest quality. In particular the German and Belgian recipes include malts, sugars and hops imported directly from those countries to ensure that the beers are as true to type as possible. All lager kits contain a bottom-fermenting yeast and those for wheat beers a true wheat beer yeast.
Each mash kit has its own individual mash and fermentation schedule, noted on the front of the packaging. Inside you will find the instructions of which schedule to use for your beer, along with the finest hops, grains sundries and in some cases other additions to really take your home brew to the next level!
Bavarian Pilsner
The pilsners of southern Germany are generally softer and less bitter than their northern counterparts. This fine example is perfectly balanced with a delicate bitterness provided by Hallertauer Hersbrucker hops. Although it is acceptable to ferment this beer at room temperature, a cleaner taste will result from the genuine bottom fermenting yeast if the temperature can be held between 12°C and 16°C. Best bottled but can be served from a keg if preferred.
